Finally, Rockstar Games has pinned down the release date for GTA 6; it is set for May 26, 2026. After years of waiting through endless rumors and set-backs, fans can now finally enjoy not only one but two trailers that provided exciting pre-reveals. The first trailer revealed the vast, beautiful world of the game.
The second trailer provided a introduction to protagonists Jason and Lucia. In the last few days, more leaks have provided fans even further glimpses into gameplay and features. Read the full summary below.
GTA 6 is based on Jason and Lucia’s wild adventure. Something starts as a normal job turns into a disastrous situation for them. They must buckle down and navigate the chaotic criminal plot in Leonida state. Their ability to survive is based on their ability to work together. You can still expect the great heists and open-world action for the game, but heists are bigger and stories are bolder.
GTA 6 features not only an enjoyable return to Vice City but with noticeable improvements. Rockstar Games describes the new take on Vice City as a mix of neon-drenched streets, lush subtropical weather, and much more.
In addition to the updated city of Vice City, players will discover more than a bigger focus on the city itself — the world will stretch into massive pockets of territory in Leonida state. What appears to be a major resource package for players creates a massive playground.
The leading character includes Jason and Lucia; new character recruits are Cal Hampton and Lucia Caminos. Returning characters are Jason Duval and Boobie Ike, Real Dimez and Raul Batista. These characters build the story through camaraderie and fighting.
Rockstar has not officially provided specs for PC. Based on rumors, it will require your PC to be powerful. Right now, we highly recommend an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor to play GTA 6, and recommend a GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics cards. You will also need at least 8GB RAM and 150GB available storage space. If your PC is older, we do not expect it to manage and run such a powerful game.
GTA 6 will be available worldwide on May 26th, 2026. The game will launch first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC version will potentially follow later. You should be able to buy it in person or online.
The standard editions at launch will be cost around Rs 5,999 in India. Most special editions started at Rs 7,999 or more in the past. Prices vary for each version in each country depending on various extras and bonuses, are subject to change.
GTA 6 offers players thrilling and unique experiences as gameplay and stories are built off indie games.
