Honor May Launch Smartphone With 10,000mAh Battery

Honor May Launch Smartphone With 10,000mAh Battery

Honor is evaluating a benchmark device powered by MediaTek’s potent Dimensity 8500 chipset. Most importantly, it has a massive 10,000mAh battery. While we see large-capacity batteries in rugged devices, there are not that many ordinary phones with such large batteries. Currently the device is at the NPI (New Product Introduction) verification phase of development–a big step before the launch of an official product.

Dimensity 8500 Chipset and Updates

The Dimensity 8500 chipset is built using TSMC’s 4nm processing technology. It is based on a very similar CPU design compared to the previous year’s flagship, the Dimensity 8400, but it offers an improved Mali-G720 GPU designed for gaming. The chipset is capable of scoring upwards of 2M points in the AnTuTu benchmark.

Honor’s phone comes through testing since it began testing in late July, and the tests have gone well. However, Honor has not disclosed the name of the final device yet. In addition to Honor, there are also other brands planning similar products, such as Redmi and iQOO. In fact, of the three brands, Redmi is expected to release the first model, called Turbo 5, on Dimensity 8500, likely in December.

Other Phones with Dimensity 8500 Chipset

Several phones include the Realme Neo 8 SE and iQOO Z11 Turbo that will depend on this chipset are also in development, but we do not know their timeframes at this point. MediaTek has not yet provided an official launch timeframe for the chipset either.

Importance of the 10,000mAh Battery

If Honor gets this phone out the door with a 10,000mAh battery, it would be a huge advancement in mobile battery technologies. Most phones with massive batteries like that are currently rugged and bulky, designed for rough and tough use.

In May, Realme showed off a concept phone featuring a 10,000mAh battery that was a scant 8.5mm thick, and it weighed under 200 grams. A new anode technology with 10% silicon increased the energy density to 887Wh/L. This technology opens the door on larger battery capacities with little or no additional weight or bulk.

What to Expect from Honor’s Phone

The leaked documents confirm that Honor’s new leak will have a 10,000mAh battery as a vehicle to drive the device’s battery. Currently, the Honor phone is still in NPI verification, which is a very important part of the device before the launch.

The Dimensity 8500 chipset has a Mali-G720 GPU that provides excellent gaming possibilities!. Redmi Turbo 5 will likely be the first device to use the Dimensity 8500 chipset for its powerful benchmark scores and strong performance characteristics for mid-market devices.

In Conclusion

Honor’s phone could change the game with battery life for devices presented in a small thin package. With great processing power and a massive battery, this phone is well-positioned for heavy users and gamers. We just need to wait for the launch date and device name reveal!
