Updating your address is simple and can be done from home. The UIDAI has a secure method for online updating of your address. The process is simple and efficient. To update your address, follow this easy path.
Start by going to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in website. It is the official Aadhaar services portal. It is 100% safe and secure for all users.
After selecting the ‘Update Your Aadhaar’ option, select the option ‘Update Aadhaar Online’. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number shown on the screen. Then, you will receive an OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP, as this will log you in.
Next, select the ‘Address’ option. Enter your full new residential address to the best of your knowledge. Review the full address for any misspellings or other errors. If errors are not present, you have done this step correctly and will minimize the chance of delays or rejections later.
You will be required to submit valid proof of your new address; it may be a scanned copy of any supportive document. Acceptable types of documents can be a passport or utility bill. Once you have prepared your file, upload it as directed on the portal. Make sure the file is legible.
Review all that you have entered and check that everything is accurate before submitting. Click ‘Submit’ to file your update. Your application will be processed at this time.
You will receive a Service Request Number (SRN). You can use the SRN to track the status of your application. Check the status of your update on the UIDAI website periodically. The portal will notify you if your Aadhar card has been successfully updated, and you can then download your new Aadhar card.
