How to Protect Your Data from AI? Tips to Ensure AI Privacy in Digital World

Every day AI becomes cleverer, but you don’t have to offer your entire personal information for it. Although most AI tools don’t really spy on you, they usually depend on the information you give without your awareness. Here’s how to protect your data without becoming a tech whizz. Tips to Ensure AI Privacy in Digital World.

Tips to Ensure AI Privacy in Digital World:

1. Don’t just “Accept All” cookies

Don’t keep clicking “Accept All” whenever a website asks about allowing cookies. Go to “Manage Preferences,” turn off unnecessary tracking; just a minute and cut down on excessive sharing.

2. Check application permissions on your mobile phones

Apps that have access to your camera or microphone, location, or contact are important. Turn off permissions that certain applications don’t need. For instance, there is no reason for a weather app to have access to your microphone.

3. Use Incognito Mode or a VPN

Private browsing (like Incognito Mode in Chrome) will prevent the sites visited from ever storing that information. An added level of security comes with the use of a VPN, which hides your location and internet activity from trackers and AI systems.

4. Disable voice assistants when not in use

Smart assistants such as Alexa, Siri, or Google are always listening to the wake word. For those who rarely use them, consider turning off the mic access or even disabling them entirely.

5. Be careful about free AI tools.

Free AI apps usually store the contents that you’ve typed or uploaded for use in improving their models. Don’t supply private things like your face, voice, or personal messages unless you’re sure it’s safe.

6. Clean your digital footprint regularly

Check Google, Facebook, and Instagram activity logs. Clean history search, location history, and ad preferences. Most platforms have a “pause” or “delete” option.

7. Keep apps and devices updated

Always run the latest version of apps and software. An update usually contains many important privacy and security patches for public vulnerabilities.
