Match Your Screen Brightness with Your Environment

The surrounding light should cue you about your screen brightness. Too bright and it hurts your eyes, too dark and it hurts your eyes. It only takes a few seconds to adjust your screen brightness, but it will save you from headaches, watery eyes, or irritation in a dark room at night.

Blinking keeps your eyes moist and eliminates dryness. It also helps you focus better. On average, you should blink at least 10 times every 15 minutes.

Using your smartphone at night can be damaging, but it doesn’t have to be. Lowering brightness, enabling dark mode, keeping distance and consistently blinking is easy ways to protect your eyes at night.
