Apple’s latest iPhone 17 received its first major price cut, which takes place on an unexpected platform. Zepto, a quick-commerce app, has begun offering the device. This is very unusual timing for any iPhone model to receive a price drop so soon after launch in India.
The iPhone 17 was launched at Rs 82,900. It is now available for Rs 78,079 on Zepto, which is a direct price drop of Rs 4,821. In addition, there is an extra bank offer, which gets you another Rs 250 off, bringing the final effective price to Rs 77,829. Therefore, buyers will be saving more than Rs 5,000 in total.
The device hosts a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display on the phone. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 3000 nits, that is very bright. The new A19 chip powers the phone. This 3nm processor promises great performance, alongside 8GB RAM.
The camera system has seen major improvements. The rear camera features two 48 megapixel sensors (a wide lens and ultra-wide lens). The front camera is a brand new 18 megapixel sensor, which also supports Dolby Vision HDR video recording.
The device has a 3692 mAh battery. It can charge via wired connection and also MagSafe wireless charging. The phone also features an IP68 water resistance rating. Other features include Face ID and satellite connections and runs on the most recent iOS 26 software.
