OnePlus has launched its newest flagship device. The company chose not to use the OnePlus 14 moniker. This model features an entirely new design. The new square camera module holds three lenses, replacing the old circular design. The phone also comes in the new Sand Dune color.
The OnePlus 15 starts at CNY 3,999 for the model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Other RAM and storage are available. The highest configuration comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for CNY 5,399. The device will be available for purchase in China beginning October 28th.
The phone has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution of 1.5K. The screen’s refresh rate can be adjusted from 1Hz all the way to 165Hz with a peak brightness of 1800 nits. The BOE panel has Dolby Vision support. The touch sampling rate is 330Hz.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor powers the device along with a maximum of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and the highest storage capacity of 1TB with UFS 4.1. It runs on Color OS 16, which is built on Android 16, and a novel Ice River cooling system is utilized.
The rear camera configuration includes three 50MP sensors. The main camera has optical image stabilization and a wide aperture as its characteristics. A periscope telephoto lens with a 3.5x optical zoom is also present. An ultra-wide lens is provided for the capture of more remote scenes. There is ongoing camera tuning in partnership with Hasselblad. The system has an 8K recording capability.
The device has a massive 7300mAh silicon-carbon battery. Wired charging is fast, at 120W. Wireless charging is also capable of 50W with reverse capability. OnePlus states that a 13-minute charge can give a full day’s worth of battery.
There’s an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The device is rated for IP68 and IP69 durability. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NavIC options. It also features an IR blaster and stereo speakers.
