Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 14 SE 5G in India. This device presents some pretty good specs for a budget 5G phone: very powerful processor, bright display, and an amazing camera. The device belongs to the Redmi Note 14 5G family that was first showcased back in December 2024.
Camera Capabilities
This phone includes a triple rear camera system. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 lens. Additionally, it has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. Selfies and video calls are taken care of by a 20MP front camera. Under the right lighting conditions, these all performed well and offered decent quality.
Battery and Charging
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G has a large 5,110mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging capable of powering up the phone quickly. While the battery keeps the phone going all-day, charging was minimal – I did not need to worry about finding a plug for the day.
Sound and Connectivity
The phone included dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Audio, providing a clear and loud audio experience for music and videos. Connectivity included 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack just in case there are still some audiophiles who prefer a wired connection.
Build and Protection
This handset had an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. It weighs 190 grams and is also 162.4 x 75.7 x 7.99mm. The phone felt slim and lightweight in hand and appeared easy to carry.
