Tecno, a rapidly emerging Chinese smartphone maker has surprised everyone within the technology sector by announcing the launch of its first-ever triple fold phone, the Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept. Tecno emerges ahead of other huge brands, such as Samsung and Xiaomi, when both companies are working on their own triple fold devices.

The Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept comes with a sizeable flexible screen that measures 9.94 inches, and it is technically advanced with a dual-hinge foldable system. While the concept phone folds into a small geometric shape, it can still be operational while in a partially folded position.

Unique G-shape Design
The Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept got its name from its G-folding style; the screen, almost seamlessly, and in two steps folds, it cannot be overstated how straightforward the experience is in general use. Even when the phone is partly folded, there is still a section of the display where content can be viewed, making the phone incredibly versatile to daily life.

Super Slim and Lightweight
Tecno has recorded this as the slimmest triple fold phone, when unfolded measuring 3.49mm thick – that’s slimmer than Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate which is 3.6mm. When folded Tecno’s device measures 11.49mm thick. Tecno has used a crude Tita fibre cover to support being a lighter yet stronger build, providing the phone a premium feel and excellent durability.

Camera and battery capability
The phone has a triple camera set up on the back and a dual camera set up on the front when folded. Due to the folding design your photographic opportunities become endless from different angles, offering creative possibilities with your shots. The Phantom Ultimate G Fold is surprisingly thin to fit a decent 5,500mAh battery – impressive really. Tecno is also introducing clever AI technology aimed at top tier image quality, along with better overall phone performance.

Getting ahead of Samsung
Samsung have only just rolled out its Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 line up, with a triple fold still in development and rumoured to be launching later this year. Tecno will be happy with their timely uTeclon demonstration and surprise display of their capability in the foldable phone market, especially in the lead up to the big players. If the Phantom ultimate G Fold does hit the market, it very quickly sets a new precedent forajaran in this bracket.
