In India, Vivo released two exciting new 5G smartphones. They are targeted towards budget-conscious customers who are in the market for higher-end features. What’s more, both devices come with a 6500mAh battery. Both models also feature a 50-megapixel camera. They are set to be available to consumers starting September 15, 2025. They can be bought online and in physical stores.
The Vivo Y31 5G sells for Rs 14,999 for the model with 4GB RAM + 128 GB. The model with 6GB RAM costs Rs 16,499. It’s available in Diamond Green and Rose Red colors. The starting price for the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G is Rs 18,999, for the model with 8GB RAM + 128GB. The model with 8GB + 256GB storage will cost Rs 20,999.
For the Y31 Pro, buyers can choose Mocha Brown and Dreamy White. Both phones will be available through Amazon, Vivo’s website, and in retail stores. The launch offer for the Y31 5G includes Rs 1,000 off of the retail price. The Y31 Pro launches with discount of Rs 1,500 for select bank customers. A three month no-cost EMI is an additional positive aspect for consumers.
The Y31 5G features a 6.68-inch HD+ LCD display. It boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1000nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which supports a high level of performance at a lower cost.
Consumers can choose either 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM option. The internal storage is 128 GB eMMC 5.1 with the option to expand it up to 2TB. The device has a 6500mAh battery and can fast charge at 44W.
It runs on Android 15, with the Funtouch OS 15 skin. The device has an accelerometer, light, proximity, and an e-compass.
Take photos with the 50MP main rear camera. It is coupled with a 0.08MP depth sensor. An 8MP front camera handle selfies and calls. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor unlocks the device.
The device measures 166.14 x 77.01 x 8.39mm. It weighs 209g and is easy to hold. It’s certified with MIL-STD-810H so it could still last in rugged envrirnonments, and the IP68 and IP69 ratings keep it completely dust and water proof. The Y31 Pro 5G has a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display. It boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz and peaks at 1050 nits of brightness. The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 should have enough oomph for any mobile task.
The Mali-G615 MC2 GPU handles any gaming graphics. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The battery is a whopping 6500mAh and supports 44W quick charge. Android 15 is installed alongside OriginOS 15 as the interface.
The rear camera setup has a 50MP primary and a 2MP depth camera. The front camera is an 8MP camera that can handle video call and selfies. The side fingerprint sensor enhances security for the device.
The dimensions are 165.7 x 76.3 x 8.19mm, and it weighs 208g. It is also falls under the MIL-STD-810H test for rugged use, and the IP64 ratings adds protection against splash and dust.
Connectivity capabilities are 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 4.2. There is also GPS and USB Type-C 2.0 for connection options.
