Vivo T4 Pro vs OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G: Which Mid-Range Phone Should You Buy?

In August 2025, Vivo released the T4 Pro as a strong contender for mid-range buyers who want great specs. The Vivo T4 Pro competes directly with the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G, which was launched in July. Both devices cost around ₹35K and are very capable for everyday users.

Price & Storage

Vivo T4 Pro:
₹27,999 for 8 GB/128 GB
₹29,999 for 8 GB/256 GB
₹31,999 for 12 GB/256 GB

OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G:
₹24,997 for 8 GB/128 GB
₹26,999 for 8 GB/256 GB

OnePlus has lower prices for devices in the 8 GB/128 GB range, but Vivo’s devices in the 12 GB/256 GB range has more RAM and more storage.

Design & Display

Vivo has a 6.77″ quad-curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 5,000 nits peak brightness.
OnePlus has a 6.77″ OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but did not provide a comparable peak brightness level.

Both devices offered smooth scrolling, but Vivo has the maximum brightness and more immersive display due to the fact that it was slightly curved.

Processor & Software

The Vivo T4 Pro will use the reliable Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor that is also known for being power efficient and reliable.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex, which is built on a 4 nm process.

In terms of software:

The Vivo T4 Pro runs on Funtouch OS 15 and will include a minimum of 4 expected Android updates and 6 security patches.
OxygenOS 15 is the operating system of OnePlus. Many users say OxygenOS is clean and quick when compared to a phone like the Vivo.

Camera Capabilities

The Vivo T4 Pro has a triple rear camera with:
50 MP main sensor with OIS
50 MP periscope telephoto (3x zoom, OIS)
2 MP depth sensor
32 MP front camera with 4K video recording

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G has:
50 MP main sensor with OIS
8 MP ultra-wide lens
16 MP front camera
Clearly, Vivo wins in camera performance which provide more sensors along with telephoto functionality.

Battery & Charging

Vivo has a 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging, reverse charging and support for bypass charging.
OnePlus has a larger 7,100 battery with support for 80 W SuperVOOC fast charging.
OnePlus has the larger battery, but Vivo’s device supports faster charging with advanced features such as bypass charging.

Durability & Extras

The Vivo T4 Pro is highly durable with IP68 & IP69 ratings (including 130°F (+54°C) thermal limit) and has achieved MIL-STD-810H military device certification.
OnePlus supports NFC, and will allow for mircoSD card expandability, however Vivo does not offer this option.
If you care about durability, Vivo is the choice. If you want convenience and flexibility regarding storage, OnePlus has you covered.

Conclusion

Choose the Vivo T4 Pro if you want a better camera, premium build quality, and fast charging. It’s also good if you want to use it roughly. Choose the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G if you want a longer battery life, expandable storage, and a cleaner software experience at a slightly lower price. Both are good performers, and your choice should depend on your technological priorities.
