Google announced the new Premium Lite in a blog post. The Premium Lite plan will cost Rs 89 per month in India, and the full Premium plan starts at Rs 149 per month. Also, the Premium Lite plan is priced at Rs 1,490 annually. The family plan will support five family members and costs Rs 299. The two-member plan is priced at Rs 219 per month. Students are also eligible for special pricing.
The Premium Lite plan removes ads from a majority of YouTube’s videos. The plan covers most gaming, beauty, news and fashion video content. YouTube states, “most videos” in the Premium Lite plan will be ad-free. The full Premium plan contains all Moderately’s ad-free videos, as well as supports background play and allows offline downloads. You can use Premium Lite on mobile phones, laptops, and televisions. Shorts, as well as searches on YouTube, will still contain ads.
The full Premium plan offers an ad-free experience for all videos. You will also be able to play videos in the background, and download videos for offline videos.
