Allu Arjun’s is gearing up for the releases of his much anticipated action flick Pushpa 2, Pushpa : The Rule. The upcoming action sequel directed by Sukumar serves as direct sequel to the 2021 blockbuster film Pushpa : The Rise and is breaking records ever before the theatrical release.
Pushpa: The Rise made Allu Arjun a pan-Indian star. The Sukumar directorial was released in North India without any promotions and buzz but eventually became blockbuster with word of mouth. Allu Arjun’s rustic look , punch dialogues, and mannerism impressed North audiences .The film proved that content is the king and has no boundaries.
Pusha 1 was made with an estimated budget of Rs 250 crores and grossed more than Rs 373 crores at worldwide box office. The digital rights were sold to Amazon Prime Video for ₹50, It was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021 .Arjun delivered his life time best performance and won his first National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film.

Allu Arjun’s upcoming sequel is already a blockbuster hit with it’s pre release business. It is said that the film’s pre – releases business already grossed more than 900 crores.
The theatrical rights
According to a source Pushpa 2: The Rule theatrical rights including all the languages like Telugu, Hindi , Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam were sold for staggering Rs 650 crore. North India distribution rights were acquired by AA Films for Rs 200 crore.
Non-theatrical business
The action entertainer’s Telugu satellite rights of the film were acquired by Star Maa for a whooping Rs 80 crores, while the digital streaming rights for all the languages were acquired by Netflix for ₹270 crore. The non-theatrical rights in Hindi alone are estimated to be worth ₹250–260 crore, which is the largest non-theatrical rights acquisition deal in Indian film history. There’s no information about film’s audio rights.
Ahead of its worldwide release, the film was made with an estimated budget of Rs 500 crores and has already generated more than Rs 1000 crore from the sale of digital and satellite rights.
