Andhra King Taluka is all set to hit theatres tomorrow, but surprisingly, the buzz for the film is pretty low. While every new release aims at a good opening, this one seems to be entering the box office with only limited hype and almost no strong promotional push. With hardly any major stars or big names attached, many trade experts believe the movie might struggle right from Day 1.

Promotional material, trailers, songs, and posters have all failed to create the desired ripple in the audience. Even in social media, from where most films take their cue as far as early buzz is concerned, there is little movement or discussion on Andhra King Taluka. Such a weak advance raises a very serious question: Can the film draw in crowds on opening day?

The advance bookings also reflect the same concern. Early numbers have been very slow in ticket sales, particularly in the urban areas. The response could be a little better in the rural regions, but even out there, it is not that encouraging. With no big festival, no advantage of a holiday, and with multiple other films already running, Andhra King Taluka faces tough competition.

The film is projected as a rural entertainer, but the content doesn’t seem new or different from the recent movie releases that have been in this category. The main problem comes with the genre, and will the audience will like to watch this film is a complete doubting point. Unless there is something that strikes a chord or a strong star pull, the film may find it difficult to attract viewers beyond the first day.

As per the industry inside talk and also looking at the audience responses from social media, the expectations for this film seem to be low. Unless this film has good word of mouth, this film might have a slow opening on its first day. Andhra King Taluka seems to be inching toward a weak opening at the box office, casting doubts over its long-run prospects.
