Anirudh Ravichander is currently making waves in the Indian film music industry. Anirudh, who made his debut as a music director with the film ‘3’ in 2012, gained a nationwide craze with the song “Why This Kolaveri Di. The music director, who has composed music for many Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, is reportedly taking a remuneration of Rs. 15 crores for the upcoming film Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, starring Nani as the hero.
Since 2012, Anirudh has been providing music for many films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi without looking back. He has reached the point where he is demanding that he provide music for their films, from small heroes to big heroes. No one understands how Anirudh is doing all the films at the same time. However, he is demanding a huge remuneration as per his craze. According to the latest information, Anirudh is taking a whopping Rs. 15 crores for the film ‘Paradise’, which is being directed by Nani and Srikanth Odela. Since the audio rights of this film have already been sold for Rs. 18 crores, the remuneration given to Anirudh has been returned to the producers.
It is said that Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad, who are currently the top music directors in the South, are charging between Rs. 8 to 10 crores per film. However, since companies are pouring crores of rupees for audio rights, producers are not hesitating to give music directors anything depending on the craze. In this context, Anirudh is asking for too much, but because of his craze, the makers are insisting and taking too much.
In the past, Oscar winner AR Rahman was in demand in this range. However, as the number of his films has been reduced for some time, that place has been occupied by Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad. Recently, Anirudh is dominating both of them. AR Rahman is providing music for ‘Peddhi’ in Telugu after a few years. If that film was a musical hit, it is not surprising that Rahman is busy in Telugu again.
