During the release of Vedam, a special poster of Anushka in a yellow saree was used for promotion. In that poster, she was looking back over her shoulder. This picture became very popular and was put on big hoardings across Hyderabad. One such large hoarding was placed at Panjagutta Circle, a busy traffic area in the city.

According to reports, many people who were passing through the area were distracted by Anushka’s poster. They kept looking at it while driving, which caused around 40 minor accidents. People were bumping into other vehicles because they couldn’t take their eyes off the poster. Even though the accidents were not major, they happened often.

The traffic police noticed this unusual situation. With the help of GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation), the authorities decided to remove the hoarding to avoid further accidents. This incident shows how impactful Anushka’s screen presence was.

After Baahubali 2, Anushka slowed down in choosing films. She now prefers women-centric movies with strong stories. Her recent film Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty was a feel-good hit. She will soon be seen in another female-led film directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
