Betting Apps Case: Prakash Raj Admits His Mistake After 9 Years

Betting Apps Case: Prakash Raj Admits His Mistake After 9 Years

Betting apps have always been a problematic addiction. Despite running campaigns and ads to bring awareness to how betting apps become our addiction, they are still going on. The people who run campaigns are often students or volunteers, but the ones who promote them are actors or influencers. So, a single minute added by a celebrity makes more impact than 3 hours of awareness from a common person. This theory was used for a positive impact earlier; that is how celebrities and influencers started promoting products or services to attract audiences, and the negative impact is also equal. Along with many other celebrities who promoted betting apps, Prakash Raj admits hs mistake after 9 years.

Betting Apps Case:

The trending news currently is about the 25 members, including famous celebrities and influencers. There are big names like Rana Daggubati, Nidhi Agarwal, and more who promoted betting apps. There is a case filed on these 25 celebrities in the Miyapur police of Cyberabad. The main cause was due to promoting content that would mislead youth and make ways for potential risks. Post this case, a few of the celebrities reacted to the case through their social media accounts or legal notices to answer this, like Vijay Devarakonda, Prakash Raj, etc.

Prakash Raj Reacts to Betting Apps Case:

Prakash Raj took to his Twitter account and shared a video reacting to the ongoing betting apps case. He is currently shooting at a village, and he got to know the ongoing betting case through social media, and he reacted to it, admitting his mistake of taking up a project to promote a betting app.

He said, ”In 2016, 9 years back, I got an offer to do an ad to promote betting ads. That’s true, and I admit it. I realized the negative impact of it on people in the next few months, and I didn’t want to do it anymore.” He further explained, saying, ”In 2017, they again asked me to renew the agreement, but I refused. I didn’t want to do it. I said, This is not the right thing, and I don’t want to do it. I didn’t know that before, and now I know. So, after that, I have never done anything of that sort again. After a few years, that app was bought by someone else, and they also reached out to me to do the ad again, but I clarified with them about my contract end. I didn’t do that again.”

He also said, ”No police or authorities have reached out to me yet; I am just here to answer the questions of my fans who are asking me about the betting app promotion that I did. I question everyone; now I have the responsibility to answer when it’s my turn. I know that there is no problem with it as I ended the contract 8 years ago.”
