CP Sajjanar On Ibomma Ravi Case: The arrest of iBomma Ravi, long considered the mastermind behind a major movie piracy network, has shaken the entertainment industry. After returning from France, Ravi walked into a carefully planned police operation that ended in his immediate arrest. With his remand underway, Hyderabad CP Sajjanar held a press meet revealing shocking details about the scale of Ravi’s operations and the ongoing investigation.
Although Ravi hails from Vizag, CP Sajjanar confirmed that he operated under the fake identity Prahlad Kumar Vellalla, using both a forged PAN card and driving licence. At the time of his arrest, the police seized ₹3 crore in cash. However, officials estimate that Ravi earned nearly ₹20 crore through large-scale piracy over the years. The police are now tracing every financial trail to uncover who supported or collaborated with him.
One of the most alarming revelations was Ravi’s international web of piracy. He reportedly purchased 110 domain names spread across the Netherlands, France, Thailand, the U.S., and Switzerland. Through these sites, he leaked major theatrical releases such as OG, Kantara 1, and Mirai, causing huge losses to filmmakers. CP Sajjanar stated that a global-level investigation is now in progress to dismantle the entire network piece by piece.
Beyond piracy, Ravi also promoted major betting apps like One Win and One X, earning huge commissions from illegal gambling traffic. Sajjanar emphasised that these promotions destroyed several innocent lives, targeting vulnerable users through aggressive online marketing. Recalling Ravi’s earlier challenge to the police, Sajjanar said, “Now think about your situation,” sending a strong warning to cyber offenders.

With the investigation intensifying, more revelations about the network behind iBomma Ravi are expected soon.
