Recently the filmmaker has shared an update on ‘Kalki Part 2’ and revealed its shooting schedule and expected release date of the second instalment.
According to the report, during an interview, Nag Ashwin gave an update on the second part of ‘Kalki’, after hearing that fans couldn’t contain their excitement. After the massive success of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, fans are eagerly waiting for the second instalment in the epic drama. Kalki created enough buzz at the box office and earned almost Rs 1,027–1,200 crore globally. Let’s take a look at Nag Ashwin’s update on a most awaited sequel.
According to the report, the script of the sequel of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is ready. Its shooting might start by mid-2025 with Prabhas. Nag Ashwin says that this film can be released at the end of the year 2026. However, its shooting hasn’t started yet, due to the busy schedule of the lead actors of the film. So the shooting will take place around June 2025 and the film is expected to be released by the end of 2026. Nag Ashwin says that all the lead actors in the film were busy with many projects, especially Prabhas having an exciting lineup of films.
Starting off with lead actor Prabhas is really busy with many films right now. He is currently working on Hanu Raghavapudi’s film ‘Fauji’. He will also be seen in ‘The Raja Saab’ set for April 2025 release. Prabhas was also a part of ‘Spirit’ with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and ‘Salaar 2’ with Prashanth Neel. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan has films like ‘Thug Life’, ‘Indian 3’ and ‘KH237’. Talking about Amitabh Bachchan, he is also very busy with his film schedule.
