Does Rajamouli Have 4 Other King Stories for Prabhas? Here’s Truth

Rajamouli Prabhas: At a special screening of Baahubali: The Epic in Japan, Prabhas shared some little-known facts about the making of the film. According to him, director S. S. Rajamouli created five storylines around a king before settling down to make what we now know as the historic Baahubali franchise. This revelation has ignited curiosity amongst the fans, who are now left pondering whether the other four story ideas still exist and if so, will they ever see the light of day?

Five Stories, One Iconic Franchise

Prabhas remembered that Rajamouli was ever so keen to make a film about a regal larger-than-life character. He always found Prabhas to be the proper choice to portray such a role and hence tried out some more narratives. Out of the five narratives concerning kings, the fifth story was transformed into the one that is popularly known as Baahubali: The Beginning and its blockbuster sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

While the other four stories were never taken forward, their very existence speaks volumes in favour of Rajamouli’s creative genius, as well as the attention to detail he pays to world-building. It is also indicative of the director’s belief since much prior to the shooting that Prabhas could carry the burden of a monumental cinematic universe.

Will the Stories Ever Be Made into a Film?
