A pirated version of Game Changer was purportedly shown in buses and broadcast on a local TV channel amid box office worries for the movie. Producer Sreenivas Kumar became interested after screenshots of the same appeared on X. He demanded stern action on it on his X account.
The film’s creators had complained a few days prior about people who were purportedly distributing a pirated version of the movie online. According to the complaint, the producers and a few team members were threatened by the same alleged pirates via social media and messaging apps like WhatsApp prior to the release of the movie. The pirates demanded money from the producers and threatened to release the pirated version if their demands were not met.
