Defamation Case: Hathya movie, which was released this year, has been stuck in some legal troubles now. This film is based on real-life incidents, which was the main reason to gain more attention than other films. Some of the individuals have now filed a case against these movie makers for defaming their personal lives. In this context, the movie director and producers are now in the spotlight. Sunil Kumar Yadav has filed a 5 crore rupee defamation case against the director, producer, and writer of this film.

₹5 Crore Defamation Case:
Even though the makers have clearly mentioned that the film is purely fictional and didn’t want to hurt anyone. But the Hathya movie clearly shows the incidents when YS Vivekananda Reddy was murdered. Looking at all these movie scenes, Sunil Kumar Yadav has approached the police and raised objections against the film. He stated that the film has portrayed him and his mother, which is very hurtful. Following this, he filed a defamation case in court against the director, producer, and writer.

Alleged Misrepresentation
In the case petition, Sunil Kumar Yadav has said that the film showed him and his mother in a derogatory manner. After the case was filed, the court issued notices and filed a defamation case against the makers of this film. Sunil Kumar Yadav alleged that Pawan, the YSRCP social media in-charge, orchestrated this portrayal, allegedly with the encouragement of MP Avinash Reddy. He claimed the scenes were intentionally crafted to tarnish the reputation and honor of his family.

Impact and Current Status
Sunil Kumar Yadav expressed that the film’s portrayal is seriously affecting his life and career. Despite filing the defamation case, the film team has not responded so far. He had also lodged complaints at the Kadapa Police Station regarding the same issue.

The YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case is still under CBI investigation, but the film was released while the case was ongoing. Following its release, the film sparked numerous controversies. Whether the filmmakers of Hathya will respond to the defamation suit remains to be seen.
