Prabhas is set to play a police officer for the first time in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film ‘Spirit’. While the movie is still in pre-production, reports suggest that its story has been leaked creating a buzz among fans.

Prabhas is teaming up with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for the highly anticipated action film ‘Spirit’. The film is currently in the pre-production stage and the team is planning to begin regular shooting in May. However even before filming has started reports about the movie’s storyline have surfaced in Bollywood media.

According to leaks, Prabhas plays an honest and dedicated police officer who comes from a middle-class family. His character is a loving husband and father to a young son. However while on a mission his life takes an unexpected turn and his family faces a major threat. The film follows his journey as he fights back against the villains and protects his loved ones.

This storyline has led many to compare ‘Spirit’ with the Tamil film Theri which was directed by Atlee and starred Vijay. Recently movie was remade in Hindi as Baby John but it failed at the box office. However, sources claim that while the basic plot may appear similar Spirit will have a unique narrative with more emotional depth and high-intensity action.

Prabhas is said to be undergoing a major physical transformation for his role. His look and physique in ‘Spirit’ will be different from his previous films. This makeover is one of the reasons for a slight delay in the film’s shooting schedule.

Several names have been rumored for the female lead in ‘Spirit’ including Mrunal Thakur, Alia Bhatt and Rashmika Mandanna. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.

The film is being produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures and is expected to release by the end of 2026. The music for the film is composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.
