Janhvi Kapoor Peddi Look: Now, about the Devara act; it was something not even seen for Janhvi Kapoor. Is it something that can be repeated with Peddi, or is it something something new?
Lit up in news once again is the fresh diva of Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor, with her Telugu film Peddi, which is releasing worldwide on March 27, 2026. After one of its kind Devara act, there is some kind of doubt among the fans – whether it would be a familiar act or a bold reinvention? If the teaser is anything to go by, it promises something extremely different, both in look and spirit.
Buchi Babu Sana might load his wand in creating the emotionally haunts story that will be Peddi. Period romance, single element musical, and heavy human content concoction corresponding with Ram Charan’s presence are the two cherry points this film entertains. Janhvi plays Achiyyamma, said to be fierce and fearless. Murky Sounds, alongside her poster that has a vintage microphone stretching with the words, indicates her layered personality-one form of rebellion, maybe socially or personally challenged, through music.
In this Peddi, thanks to A. R. Rahman, it stands to gain a super advantage, in that it possesses a hauntingly beautiful and at the same time fully charged emotional soundtrack. All this adds up to giving really great visuals and narration for this film-Rathnavelu (cinematography), Navin Nooli (editing), and Avinash Kolla (production design). The first look light and the form define a female perspective thrown into the worlds of history or socio-politics.
While Devara has had the Janhvi in a traditional, emotional role, Peddi promises a different screen persona for her. Achiyyamma appears bolder, more outspoken, and thematically heavier. The vintage treatment and Rahman’s music tell us about a character who has the courageous heart to use her voice to oppose and resist oppression, far beyond everything Janhvi has represented in her earlier films.

Peddi looks like a visual symphony intertwining emotions, revolt, and art. Going by the first look, Janhvi Kapoor is not replicating her Devara act-she is metamorphosing into a performer one is afraid to landlines in the actors’ home.
