Jatadhara Cast Remuneration: The supernatural thriller Jatadhara is an amalgamation of Tollywood and Bollywood talents-Sudheer Babu in the lead and Sonakshi Sinha making her Telugu debut. While much was said about the film and its mythology and eeriness, interestingly, so is the remuneration of the star cast. According to insiders, another interesting news break is that Sonakshi Sinha earned almost double what Sudheer Babu was paid.
Role: Dhana Pishachini (Mythical Demoness)
Fee: ₹6–7 crore
Sonakshi Sinha, a reputable Bollywood actress, forayed into Tollywood with Jatadhara-and her remuneration corroborated her star status. Producers reportedly spent top coin on her to entice a larger market beyond the Telugu states. The pan-India recognition and debut factor gave her a clear edge in remuneration. Even though her role was more symbolic and restricted in dialogue, her presence fetched national appeal for the project.
Role: Shiva(Ghost Hunter)
Fee: ₹3-4 crore
Sudheer Babu, a known face of Tollywood, was relatively undersalaried compared to his co-star. Though he maintained the lead with a lot of weight on his shoulders, his remuneration signature reflects regional market pull, not a pan-India appeal. Producers reportedly balanced their budget for visual effects and promotional strategy instead of breaking their bank on Sudheer’s remuneration.

The supporting cast consisted of Divya Khosla, Shilpa Shirodkar, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar, with varying fees of ₹50 lakh and ₹1 crore, depending on their screen time and impact on the role.
Jatadhara sees Sonakshi Sinha emerge at ₹6–7 crore, while Sudheer Babu walks with ₹3–4 crore. The difference thus apparently corroborates Bollywood star power standing much above regional stars when it comes to any cross-industry projects. For Sonakshi, the Telugu movie was not only an artistic diversion but also a lucrative one.
