Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s highly anticipated global project SSMB 29 officially launched with pooja ceremony today, 2nd January in Hyderabad. It is a strictly private affair without media. There are no pics from the event yet.

After much anticipation SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu action adventure thriller SSMB 29 is finally goes on the floors today. The jungle adventure’s formal pooja ceremony took place at the Aluminum Factory in Hyderabad, with key cast and crew members in attendance, including Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli, and Rama Rajamouli.

According to recent speculations Mahesh Babu and S.S. Rajamouli made a profit-sharing agreement with the producers rather than high upfront fees. The back-end deal will allow all funds to be dedicated to creating a top-tier cinematic experience, without the pressure of financial constraints. The duo have agreed to a 40% profit share with the producers. With an estimated budget of Rs 1000 crores, the global project is one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema history.

Earlier it was reported that Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are signed for female lead and antagonist role. The adventure action drama is being produced under the Durga Arts banner by KL Narayana, with a significant budget allocated to this colossal project. The Academy award winner MM Keeravaani is composing the music and back ground score.

As per rumors Netflix is in talks with the producers to but the film’s streaming rights, with some speculating the cost could be as high as Rs. 500 crore. When RRR was released on Netflix, it became a global sensation, introducing Indian cinema to audiences worldwide. Netflix reportedly spent Rs. 250 crore for the streaming rights, which turned out to be a great investment. S.S.Rajamouli’s documentary RRR: Behind and Beyond is now streaming on Netflix, which is a must-watch for fans of Indian cinema.
