Manchu Lakshmi: The CID is preparing to question several celebrities about the illegal promotion of betting applications in its ever-increasing investigation into the case. In the latest installment regarding the inquiry, actress Manchu Lakshmi will appear before the CID today for investigation.
It is reported that she is going to attend the CID SIT inquiry office this afternoon. As per the reports, Manchu Lakshmi has already faced several questioning by the ED (Enforcement Directorate) earlier. In this same case, CID has questioned several actresses who are involved in this case. Actress Nidhhi Agerwal, popular anchor Sreemukhi, and social media influencer Amrita Chowdary, among others, were summoned yesterday.

The proceedings are likely to focus on promotion contracts, payment records, testimonials with app operators, and whether there were any observable promotions leading users to participate in illegal betting activities, causing financial losses to the public. Officials have stated that, at this stage, the celebrities are only being treated as witnesses. Further action, however, will depend on the clarity and consistency of their statements.
