Now, the attention is on Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, as movie prepares for its Japanese premiere. Nag Ashwin, the film’s director, traveled to Japan to promote the sci-fi epic.

The filmakers Vyjayanthi Movies took to their social media accounts and shared a touching photo of Nag Ashwin surrounded by heartfelt letters from Japanese fans. Nag Ashwin penned a sweet note to Japanese fans amid Kalki release. He shared his feelings on Instagram and wrote, “V rarely get overwhelmed… but Japanese love is like that. Diff level. They learned & wrote in Telugu script. Full love right back to you all. Arigato gozaimas. Can’t wait for you all to enjoy Kalki 2898 AD.”
On October 9th Kalki was screened at 2024 Busan International Film Festival and received standing ovation from the audience from around the world. It was released worldwide on 27 June 2024 and grossed est. Rs 1,100–1,200 crore globally and has set multiple box office records for an Indian.
