Pawan Kalyan is giving his fans plenty to look forward to even while balancing governance and cinema. From violent gangster stories, to grand historic tales, to comic dramas, 2025 promises to be a blockbuster year for the Power Star.
1. OG
Sujeeth directs OG (short for They Call Him OG) as it introduces Pawan Kalyan to the dark world of gangsters. The movie features Emraan Hashmi, who makes his debut in Telugu, alongside Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, and Prakash Raj. DVV Danayya produced the film with music by Thaman S. The movie is about Ojas Gambheera, a notorious underworld member coming back to take his place at the top. After a theatrical run, the movie will become available on Netflix for fans worldwide.
2. Hari Hara Veera Mallu
Based in the 17th-century Mughal era, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is an ambitious period-action drama that was once directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, but is now being directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna. The flamboyant pan-Indian film, which will be released in two parts, stars Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol in key roles. The first part is officially releasing in theatres soon. With grand sets and serious storytelling, it is going to be a cinematic experience.
3. Ustaad Bhagat Singh
Featuring Pawan with Sreeleela, this action-comedy directed by Harish Shankar – after multiple delays – began shooting again in June 2025 – it is now a month long shooting schedule and none of that setup time is accounted for currently. No firm release date yet, but the team is shooting for a release later this year.
4. What’s Next?
Rumblings suggest that a new film featuring Chiranjeevi, Anu Emmanuel, and John Abraham may have Pawan join forces with Surender Reddy. Pawan also spices up his 2025 lineup with an untitled movie that is currently in pre-production.
