Prabhas’ First Look in ‘Kannappa’: Hints at the Film’s Success or Failure? After Bollywood, Now Tollywood is all set to give a disaster to Prabhas. From a Telugu actor to a Pan-World actor, Prabha’s journey has been incredible. His fanbase is unmatchable, and his craze overseas is more than any other Indian actor. His films like Bahubali: The Beginning, Bahubali: The Conclusion, Kalki 2898 AD, Saaho, Radhe Shyam etc have been some of the most popular films of his career. But it all changed overnight with a single Bollywood film, Adipurush.
Tollywood’s most anticipated film ‘Kannappa’ makers revealed the first look of Prabhas from the film. This film features many star actors like Kajal Aggarwal, Prabhas, Nayanthara, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu etc. The first look of Prabhas was one of the most anticipated updates from this film amidst the trolls of the makers.
Prabhas is playing the role of Rudra, associated with Lord Shiv. The poster portrayed Prabhas as Rudra wearing rudraksh. The makers explained the role of Prabhas as Rudhra is as ‘He is the raging storm, The guide through past and future. He is ruled by Lord Shiva’s command’.
Prabhas appeared in a mythological role for the first time in the film Adipurush as Lord Ram. That film ended up as a disaster in his career for the poor talent of Bollywood makers. But now, Since the makers are setting the anticipation very high, only Prabhas’s presence alone can not make it a big hit as there are many other stars with significant screentime.
Kannappa is a mythological film making a story of our history and culture to this generation. This film is based on the life of Kannappa who is a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Earlier, Kajal’s first look as Parvati Devi faced backlash for insulting Hindus by releasing Parvati’s look without a bindi. But still, if the story is made right, there is a chance that this film won’t end up like Adipurush.
