Prasanth Varma Vs Hanuman Producers: A major controversy has erupted in Tollywood as PrimeShow Entertainment, the producers of HanuMan, have accused director Prasanth Varma of failing to deliver on multiple film projects despite taking huge advance payments.
In a detailed statement, PrimeShow claimed that they had already paid ₹10.34 crore to Prasanth Varma and his associates for films directed by him nearly one and a half years ago. However, the company said that none of the promised projects were completed, resulting in massive financial losses.
The controversy deepened with another project, a Telugu film titled Octopus. According to PrimeShow, Prasanth Varma convinced them to take over the movie, assuring that he would handle direction and secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the previous producer.

Based on his promises, the business paid ₹10.23 crore, of which ₹8.18 crore went to Prasanth Varma’s Flicksville Company and ₹2.05 crore was sent to Venkat Jetti in cash under Prasanth’s direction. But according to PrimeShow, the Octopus project was never finished, and the promised NOC was never given. The director allegedly neglected to start or complete the agreed-upon projects in spite of many reminders.
The production company also claimed that Prasanth Varma is currently collaborating with other producers while using money that was stolen from them. They claimed to have suffered a “huge financial loss” as a result of the director’s non-compliance, citing expenses totaling ₹20.57 crore. Fans are waiting for Prasanth as the controversy has shocked the Telugu cinema industry.
