Raja Saab Part 2: Pan-India star Prabhas is currently one of the busiest actors in Indian cinema. His upcoming film ‘The Raja Saab’ is ready for release. Alongside this, he is working on ‘Fauji’ directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, and will soon begin shooting for ‘Spirit’ under Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction. Prabhas also has sequels lined up for his blockbuster films ‘Salaar’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Despite his packed schedule, Prabhas has reportedly given the green signal for another exciting sequel, ‘The Raja Saab 2’.

Maruthi’s Sequel Plan:

Director Maruthi, who is now directing The Raja Saab, which has completed the shooting process, and the post-production work is already going on. The movie is slated for release on January 9 next year as a Sankranti treat. Earlier, there were reports that a sequel was being planned. During a press meet, producer TG Vishwa Prasad confirmed that the theme and setup would remain the same, though the story had not yet been finalized. Recently, Maruthi reportedly narrated the storyline for Raja Saab 2 to Prabhas, and the actor loved it. Prabhas is said to have told Maruthi, “Let’s do it, darling!”

When Will Raja Saab 2 Begin?

Prabhas is currently busy with Fauji. Once that’s completed, he will move on to Spirit, followed by Salaar 2 or Kalki 2. These commitments could take around two years to finish. Only after that will The Raja Saab 2 likely go on floors.

Given Prabhas’ popularity and Maruthi’s enthusiasm, there’s no doubt the project will eventually happen. The real clarity, however, will come after the release of The Raja Saab, depending on how it performs at the box office.
