Ram Charan Movies that could have been Blockbusters

Ram Charan, one of the most talented and versatile actors in the Telugu film industry, has delivered several memorable performances throughout his career. Films like Chirutha, RRR, and Rangasthalam are blockbuster hits in the Tollywood Industry. While he has undoubtedly been part of many successful films, there are a few projects that, for various reasons, could have reached even greater heights at the box office. Let’s look at his films which had the potential to be blockbusters.


1. Orange

Orange top’s in this list, this is one of the most loved films in Tollywood Industry. Unfortunately this film didn’t work out when it got released, it was clearly a disaster. Over the time this film has become a cult classic film for the Telugu audience. The film songs and the dialouges are still unforgettable for the audience.

2. Govindudu Andarivadele

This family entertainer from Ram Charan was released in 2014. This film worked out well in the theatres and had good responses. But this film didn’t work for many days in the theatres as the family entertainer was not expected from Ram Charan at that point in time. Critic feedback was good but the audience expected him to act as a strong thug and aggressive character. This type of role worked out in Dhruva which is a super hit film in his career.


3. Game Changer

The recently released film Game Changer was a flop in his career after an Oscar Award film “RRR”. Most of them expected him to deliver good and strong performances but in this film, the director failed in showing the actual storyline in a detailed way. Most didn’t expect this kind of film from Ram Charan after his Worldwide Blockbuster film RRR. This film didn’t work out in the theatres because of the outdated storytelling and lack of realism in the movie.

4. Zanjeer/Toofan

Ram Charan’s Bollywood debut film directed by Apoorva Lakhia was a huge disaster in Tollywood. In this film, makers have included top stars cast in the film like Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, Atul Kulkarni, and Prakash Raj. Despite having big stars in this film, it didn’t work for Telugu audience. Most people thought this film was completely unrealistic and even Ram Charan expressed his regret over working in this film. He also stated that this film failed to meet expectations and faced a lot of criticism.

5. Racha

This film released in 2012, was an average film from Ram Charan’s career. In this film, the portrayal of a thug and strong character didn’t suit properly as expected. The makers have expected this film to be a blockbuster but unfortunately, this film didn’t reach the expectations.
