Rashmika Mandanna Reviews The Girlfriend: The National Crush, Rashmika Mandanna, spoke about her recent movie, The Girlfriend – and its emotional journey. The actress chose to share her feelings on social media in a very heart-wrenching note regarding how much the story and her character Boone went to rest somewhere within her soul.
She stated that the story concerned where she was mostly crying when it was narrated by director Rahul Ravindran, according to what she said. Her heart was touched in so many ways she couldn’t explain, and she’s really connected with the Bwoma’s feeling, actually. Even it was special because it was more of a male perspective on that story.
“When Rahul narrated the story to me, I knew it would be a sin not to do this film,” Rashmika shared.
Having named Rahul Ravindran, Rashmika calls him “a friend for life” because he has been that sensitive in his creativity. Rashmika takes pride in her co-star Dheekshith Shetty for accepting such a challenging role so early on in his career, sharing the same vision.
Throwing in some words about Anu Emmanuel, Rashmika said that the type of person we all need in our lives was her character Durga and that the onscreen chemistry reflected warmth in real-life.
The actress continues to pour her heart about the composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, who has done the deliverance of the movie’s emotional core through his music. She thanked producers Vidyakoppineedi, Dheeraj Mogilineni, and Geetha Arts for backing a story where emotion is given precedence over spectacle.
