The sudden change comes after Akhanda 2 finalized its release date for December 12. Earlier, Akhanda 2 was supposed to release on December 5, but due to last-minute issues, the makers postponed it and locked the new date. With Balakrishna’s massive fan base and strong box-office pull, other films scheduled for the same day faced tough competition.

As a result, the Mowgli team decided to shift their release to avoid the clash. The unit, which had been promoting the film continuously over the past few days, was disappointed by the sudden change but agreed that postponement was the better choice.
