Singer Mangli Responds:
Popular folk singer Mangli has reacted to the controversy surrounding her recent birthday celebration at Tripura Resort in Chevella. The party took place at midnight and was reportedly held without official permission. As a result, police raided the venue, and a case was filed against Mangli and others present. The news quickly spread across media platforms, attracting public attention.
To clarify her side, Mangli posted a selfie video on social media. She said she did not knowingly break any rules. According to her, the party was a private family event organized as per her parents’ wishes. Close friends and relatives also attended. Though there was alcohol and music at the party, Mangli said she was unaware that prior permission was required for such arrangements.
Mangli explained, “It was a spontaneous celebration. If anyone had informed me that permission was needed, I would have applied for it immediately. I did not intend to break any rules.”
She also denied the presence of illegal substances at the event. She stated, “Only local liquor was available at the resort. No drugs or banned substances were used or found. The person who tested positive for marijuana had taken it elsewhere, not at the party. The police have confirmed this, and we are cooperating fully with the investigation.”
Mangli added, “Why would I knowingly do something wrong in front of my parents? I want to set a good example for others. I would never encourage bad behavior.”
In her message to the media, Mangli requested journalists not to spread false information without proper evidence. She urged them to verify facts before making any accusations.
Her video has now gone viral, with fans and followers expressing support while the investigation continues.
