Tandel: Naga Chaitanya Reveals Shocking Incident with Navy During Shooting. Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Tandel’ has been released on the big screen today. With this film, Chaitanya is making a comeback after almost two years. However, this is not the only reason why this film is special for him. This film is also special because it is a true story with true characters. Now recently Naga Chaitanya’s co-star and actress Sai Pallavi had a special conversation with the actor. She took a fun interview, in which Naga shared many interesting things. Naga Chaitanya told Sai Pallavi that he is waiting for a successful film. It has been two years since he was last seen on screen.
During the interview, Sai Pallavi asked Naga Chaitanya a question from a user who expressed ‘surprise’ to see a ‘white boy’ like the actor playing the role of a fisherman from Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. The user also said that the actor is more suitable to play the role of a rich boy on screen due to his appearance. Responding to the question, Naga Chaitanya said, ‘The job of an actor is to transform into a role and push yourself and challenge yourself to do roles that are far from your reality. How I see myself as a fisherman is that you have to score me after watching the film.’
Naga Chaitanya answered the question on the challenges of shooting on water for the film. Naga Chaitanya laughed while recalling, ‘Shooting on the water is very challenging, as the tide was constantly changing. When we were shooting in Kerala the Navy came and arrested us. They took Shyam Sir to the Navy office.’
Tandel co-directed by Chandoo Mondeti and Ram Naresh Nunna hits the screens today, February 7. The story of the film is believed to be inspired by a real-life incident where fishermen from a village in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh accidentally ventured into Pakistani waters. The film has a talented crew with Shamdat handling the cinematography, National Award winner Naveen Nooli being the editor and Srinagendra Tangala heading the art department. Produced by Vasu under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner, the film is presented by Allu Aravind. The film is choreographed by Shekhar Master
