In a shocking development, Telugu film producer KP Choudhary was found dead at his rented residence in Siolim village, North Goa, on Monday, February 3, 2025. The 44-year-old producer, known for bringing Rajinikanth’s  Kabali to Telugu audiences, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan, raising suspicions about the circumstances of his demise.

Choudhary had been residing in Goa for the past seven months. Concerns about his well-being arose when one of his friends was unable to contact him. After multiple failed attempts, the friend reached out to Choudhary’s landlord, who decided to check on him. Upon entering the apartment, the landlord found Choudhary  hanging from the ceiling fan and immediately alerted the police. The authorities arrived at the scene and transported the body to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Choudhary had previously made headlines when he was arrested in 2023 by the Cyberabad Special Operations Team in a high-profile drug  case. The case had cast a shadow over his career, and reports suggest he had been struggling financially  due to mounting pressure from lenders. Friends close to Choudhary revealed that he had been dealing with severe financial stress, which may have contributed to his emotional turmoil.

The Goa Police have classified the case as suspicious and are currently investigating all possible angles, including a potential connection to drug cartels operating in Goa. Given that Goa has had a history of narcotics-related activities, authorities are looking into whether external pressure played a role in his death. Officials have assured that a thorough probe will be conducted, including reviewing his financial transactions, phone records, and recent interactions.

KP Choudhary’s contributions to South Indian cinema, particularly his involvement in the Telugu distribution of Kabali, are well-remembered. His sudden and tragic passing has left the film fraternity in shock, with many expressing their condolences on social media.

As investigations continue, the mystery surrounding the death deepens, leaving many unanswered questions. Authorities will be conducting further inquiries to determine the exact cause and circumstances leading to this unfortunate incident.
