The Google Trends of 2024 revealed the most searched movies, persons, and other categories worldwide . The Google Indian Trends this year has three Telugu movies in the Top 10 and two of them belong to Prabhas.
According to this year Google’s Year in Search report, the world was engaged in a variety of topics ranging from major sporting events to the latest tech releases and viral trends.

Prabahs in the recent action thriller Salaar

The entertainment industry saw a flurry of interest as Shraddha Kapoor recent horror comedy blockbuster Stree 2 emerged as the most searched movie, in India and Inside Edge, globally. 

Google’s Trends report for 2024 has unveiled the most popular searches in various categories. Notably, three Telugu films made it into the Top 10 most searched movies, with two featuring the popular actor Prabhas.

The three Telugu films trended in the ‘Movies’ category in the Top 10 Google Indian trends are Kalki 2898 AD, HanuMan and Salaar. Kalki 2898 AD is top second, HanuMan is top fifth and Salaar is top ninth. Needless to say how big blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD became and so did Salaar that was released at the end of 2023.

Top Trending Telugu Movies includes Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD which was ranked second while HanuMan was positioned in fifth position and Salaar secured the ninth spot.

Tollywood movies dominated the top position in searches was claimed by Stree 2, a Bollywood horror-comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Following Stree 2, 12th Fail took third place, while Laapataa Ladies came in fourth. Other notable mentions include Maharaja at sixth place and Manjummel Boys, which ranked seventh.

Thalapathy Vijay’s film The Greatest Of All Time( GOAT) landed in eighth place, followed by Salaar and Aavesham, which rounded out the top ten.
