Top 10 Highest Grossing Films Of 2025: Indian cinema has gone haywire this year in 2025 with films across the industries breaking box office records. Thespians are flocking to theaters in numbers which seem almost unbelievable, while many films have already surpassed the ₹250 crores mark. Let’s take a look at the top 10 chartbusters, along with whether or not Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG will be on this list with such elite company.
Chhaava (Maddock Films) has now earned the crown of the year so far, having strode past the ₹797-crore mark global. Close behind is Saiyaara from Yash Raj Films, raking in ₹579 million, while Rajinikanth’s Coolie from Sun Pictures is not far behind with ₹675 million. The mythological epic Mahavatar Narsimha has earned ₹324 million across multiple languages, while War 2, another YRF production, continues the studio’s winning streak at a staggering ₹303 million and beyond globally. Certainly, these films proved their mettle not just at the box office in India, but also quite solidly on international shores.
The other half of the list also interesting. Focus on inter-industry variety: 275 od of Malayalam cinema is 275, with the film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, and L2: Empuraan, grossing ₹268 crore. Aamir Khan’s emotional drama Sitaare Zameen Par has Rs. 267 crore to its name, while the laughter-filled entertainer, Housefull 5, is at present on Rs. 289 crore. Telugu cinema makes its decent contributions toward that line in Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which brings in a little close to Rs. 300 crore. Should this extravagant list prove anything, it is that regional cinema is at par with Bollywood in box-office competition.
Clearly indicating a blockbuster ahead, Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG opened with great strength and expectations. The gangster drama is directed by Sujeeth, and it may well be able to put some of the films at the bottom half of this chart to shame in coming weeks should it keep this momentum.
