Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s VD12 producer Naga Vamsi shared an exciting update about the film’s much anticipated teaser release date. It is reported that Vijay Deverakonda is stepping into a never-before-seen avatar as a spy cop.

In a recent conversation with a media, Naga Vamsi revealed that VD12 teaser footage has been captured and the only thing due now is Anirudh Ravichandran’s work. It is said that Anirudh is working on the audio works for the teaser and he will be delivering the same to the team soon. He assured that the teaser release date will be announced as soon as possible. 

VD12 is helmed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri and bankrolled by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas are producing the movie. It is said to be one of costlier films in Sithara Entertainments banner. The spy cop thriller’s  cinematography is handling by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T John. According to a source Vijay Deverakonda is rigorously  focused on his cop look and is undergoing intense training , including combat training and power-packed stunts. He is reportedly taking ice baths to help him recover and fight muscle fatigue.

The film’s star cast  includes Vijay Deverakonda, Bhagyashri Borse ,Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles , and  Manikanta Varanasi , Koushik Mahata, Sriram Reddy Polasane , Keshav Deepak in the supporting roles.

 Deverakonda was last seen in romantic action drama film The Family Star, which was released on February 2023  with high expectation but  received received generally negative reviews from critics, who heavily criticised Parasuram’s writing and direction, second half, weak comedy, and story . The film is now streaming on acquired by Amazon Prime Video. While Vijay’s upcoming cop spy thriller film VD 12 is set for worldwide release in theaters on March 28, 2025.
