Women’s Day: The Rise of Women Producers in Tollywood

This Women’s Day, we celebrate the daughters of Tollywood actors who have stepped into the world of film production, inspiring many with their vision and determination. These talented women are not just heirs to legacies but dynamic leaders in the industry, driving change, empowering others, and championing fresh narratives. Their success is a testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of women in shaping the future of cinema, motivating countless individuals to follow their dreams and break barriers.


1. Sushmita Konidela

Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela has gained immense respect for her dedicated work. Initially, she worked as a costume Designer in her brother Ram Charan’s and father Chiranjeevi’s films too. Following that, she established a production house named Gold Box Entertainments and turned as a producer. As a producer, she produced the top-notch web series Paruvu and many others. Presently, she is planning to produce a film in which Chirajeevi is going to be the lead actor, this project is still in planning.


2. Tejaswini Nandamuri

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini Nandamuri has Legend Productions and has established her career as a producer. She is all set to produce her brother Mokshagna’s debut film. Moreover, for Balakrishna’s films Akhanda 2 and Daaku Maharaj, she was the presenter. Along with her production values, her focus is to bring more women into the industry and grow more women’s employment.

3. Lakshmi Manchu
Mohan Babu’s daughter, Lakshmi Manchu, has established her career as an actor, anchor, and producer. She started Manchu Entertainments and produced blockbuster films for audiences. Films like Gundelo Godari, Jhumandi Nadam, and many more entertained the audience. In most of her interviews, she talks about women’s empowerment and gives many opportunities to newcomers in the industry.

4. Niharika Konidela
Mega Family’s one more producer cum actor Niharika Konidela has established a wonderful career by entertaining the audience with her films and acting. She established Pink Elephant Pictures Banner and produced many entertaining films. Presently, she has taken a break from acting, and now she is focusing on producing good films for the audience.

5. Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt

Continuing their father Ashwini Dutt’s legacy on Vyjayanthi Movies, they are now proving to themselves that girls can do anything. Their films are blockbusters now in the industry; films like Kalki 2898AD, Mahanati, Sita Raman, Maharshi, and many other recent films are blockbusters from this banner. Presently, they are finalizing a few other projects and are about to start the shoot.

6. Manjula ghatamaneni
Popular telugu superstar Krishna’s daughter Manjula ghatamaneni is a film producer and also acted in few films. She established Indira Productions and produced blockbuster films in the industry, film like Show, Nani, Ye Maye Chesave, Pokiri and many other hit films. Her motivating life towards producing films is path-breaking in the industry.
