IRCTC e-Wallet: Indian Railways is implementing necessary safety measures to ensure ticket booking is easy for travelers. As part of this effort, IRCTC has introduced e-wallets, simplifying the booking process. This e-wallet feature makes ticket booking more convenient through the train wallet. Recently, Indian Railways launched Swarail, a new all-in-one app that gives you access to all railway services. The app offers a variety of services, including meal ordering and checking PNR status. However, some users are unsure whether they can transfer funds from their IRCTC e-wallet to the Swarail app. Will it be possible? Let’s find out.
Railway E-wallet:
Similar to the IRCTC digital purse, the e-wallet is a railway app. You can fund this wallet using net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. It saves you time when booking rail tickets by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter payment information. The app is very safe and quick. Moreover, this wallet works seamlessly with both Swarail and IRCTC.
Swarail App:
IRCTC’s super app is called Swarail. It offers a wide range of railroad services. You can purchase both reserved and unreserved rail tickets using this app. You can see the status of your PNR. During the train ride, you can place food orders. In addition to purchasing platform tickets, you can also file complaints and cancel tickets.

IRCTC e-wallet in Swarail App?
You don’t need to transfer money from your e-wallet to Swarail. By logging in with your IRCTC ID, you can use the same e-wallet in the Swarail app. Additionally, the Swarail wallet will display the balance from your e-wallet. You can use this money for ticket purchases or other services within the app.
The app is designed to ensure users have no difficulties paying through their e-wallet. After selecting your train in IRCTC, simply go to the payment page, where you’ll find the e-wallet option. Keep in mind, however, that the money in this wallet can only be used for transactions within the IRCTC and Swarail apps.
