The Kukatpally RTO office held an auction of fancy car numbers on Thursday. It received a great response. The officials held an auction for a total of 15 numbers. Through this, the Kukatpally RTO office received an income of Rs. 34.17 lakh in a single day. Most importantly, a single number cost more than Rs 20 lakh. That is the number TG 08AC 0006. A company called Ladia Diamonds Private Limited paid Rs 20.07 for this number. Similarly, more than six lakh rupees were spent for the number TG 08Q 9999. Ratnadeep Retail Private Limited acquired the number 9999 for Rs 6.80 lakh.
Similarly, Srisiksha Educational Trust paid Rs. 2.01 lakh for the number TG 08AC 0001 and made it its own. In total, the Kukatpally RTO office received a staggering amount of income in a single day through the auction of these fancy numbers.
Recently, a similar incident came to light in Warangal. A huge amount was spent for the number 9999. It is known that Hanumakonda Kaveri Engineering Company spent Rs. 12.60 lakhs for the fancy number 9999. However, the government had fixed a base price of Rs. 50 thousand for it. But its price kept increasing in the auction and finally reached more than Rs. 12 lakhs. In the past, Balayya also spent a huge amount for a fancy number.
