Hyderabad Gets 2 New Vande Bharat Trains: With the inauguration of two new Vande Bharat Express trains, thereby enhancing the rail connectivity between Telangana and Maharashtra, Hyderabad is now set to experience a complete facelift of the railways. These semi-high-speed trains are meant to perform the task of faster travel, contemporary comforts, and greater reliability, thus marking a definite shift from the legacy services towards a next-generation mode of travel in India.
One of the big changes being talked about is the scrapping of the Secunderabad–Pune Shatabdi Express. At the time of travel, the Shatabdi takes about 8.5 hours to cover the journey with very few stops and executive-class seating. Vande Bharat’s ability to reduce travel time while generating greater occupancy rates is posing a challenge to this once-popular service. If the transition happens, with increased passenger demand, it would mark the end of an area for an iconic Shatabdi.
The two proposed new Vande Bharat services will run on:
Secunderabad–Pune
Secunderabad–Nanded
With these additions, the South Central Railway (SCR) zone shall now be operating seven Vande Bharat trains, thus placing Hyderabad among the most Vande Bharat-active regions in the country.
The new train should work fairly well for commuters, businessmen, and tourists, etc. The major plus points would be:
Reduced travel time as compared with conventional express trains.
Better onboard amenities include reclining seats, modern catering, and improved safety measures.
More frequency and reliability along busy routes.

Moreover, the soon-to-operate Secunderabad–Muzaffarpur Amrit Bharat Express lends even more credence to Hyderabad’s’ claim for a railway innovation hub.
Certainly, as India is modernizing rail infrastructure, Hyderabad is taking the pride of place in it. The arrival of new Vande Bharat trains enhances passenger comfort and takes the rails into a newer, better era in long-distance travel. Should the Shatabdi Express step aside, it will go down in the history of India’s high-speed, tech-driven rail movement as having been a proud predecessor.
