Hyderabad: The Revanth Sarkar government has taken a key decision to develop Hyderabad as a global city and provide better facilities to the people by developing infrastructure. It is also known that the state government has launched the Hyderabad City Innovative Transformative Infrastructure (H-City) to check the traffic woes, which is a major problem in the city.
As part of this, the construction of projects related to bridges, underpasses and road expansion works covering 20.14 kilometers in 16 areas across the city will be started at a cost of Rs. 2400 crore. As part of this project, flyovers are being built in three extremely congested areas in Bhagyanaram. And what are those areas?
Hyderabad City is about to get a solution for three junctions with heavy traffic due to heavy traffic. The Revanth government has approved the construction of three flyovers and an underpass at a cost of Rs. 360 crore under the H-City project . In this regard, the GHMC has prepared proposals for this. So far, what are those areas? The Leela Hotel Junction on Banjara Hills Road No. 3 and Nagarjuna Circle (NFCL) in Punjagutta have allocated Rs. 210 crore for the flyovers to be constructed.
Similarly, the flyover to be built at NTR intersection in Rasoolpura connecting Begumpet Main Road and Minister Road is estimated to cost Rs. 150 crore. GHMC has said that once the land acquisition process is completed, tenders will be called. If these flyovers become available, they say, the traffic problem in these three areas will be solved.
The length of the flyover to be constructed at NFCL intersection is 900 meters. The government plans to acquire 13 properties for this construction work. A two-lane flyover will come up for vehicles going from Banjara Hills Road No. 1 to Nagarjuna Circle towards Road No. 3. Its length is 900 meters. Similarly, a two-lane underpass will come up from Panjagutta to Srinagar Colony via Banjara Hills Road No. 3. Its length is 340 meters.
Along with this, a three-lane flyover will come up from KBR Park towards Panjagutta at Leela Hotel Junction. Its length is 600 meters. The government intends to acquire 46 properties for these two construction works. Similarly, on the way from Begumpet to Secunderabad Minister Road, a flyover is going to be constructed over the metro line at NTR Junction. Its length is 740 meters. For this, 8 properties have to be acquired. GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan also conducted a field inspection on land acquisition.
