IRCTC Launches 17-Day Ramayana Yatra: To promote spiritual tourism and celebrate India’s culture, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced a special 17-day tour named “Shri Ramayana Yatra” to be held from July 25, 2025. The pilgrimage will cover over 30 destinations related to the life and legacy of Lord Ram from Ayodhya to Rameshwaram.
This is the fifth of the Ramayana tours organized by the IRCTC. Since the auspicious opening of the Ram Janmabhumi temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024. IRCTC is now having a highly overwhelming response from devotees who flew in previous editions of such tours and hence opted for a more elaborate and luxurious experience this year. Thereupon, officials outline that religious tourism has grown tremendously through this temple. It has seen enthusiastic responses from people of all categories eager to walk in the evidence of Lord Ram.
Beginning its journey from the Safdarjung station of Delhi, the itinerary covers Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram among others. Such a pilgrimage will include Ram Janmabhoomi, Kashi Vishwanath, Anjaneya Hill, and Ramanathaswamy temple hence providing a complete Ramayana circuit experience for devotees.
The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC tourist train will operate this tour. The train will have modern amenities such as AC cabins (1 service, 2nd, and 3rd AC), restaurants, kitchen, shower cubicles, foot massagers, sensor-based washrooms, CCTV cameras for surveillance, and security onboard.

The all-inclusive tour will cost between ₹1.17 lakh to ₹1.79 lakh per person, depending on the class of travel. The package covers train tickets, hotel accommodation, pure vegetarian meals, and road transfers, the services of tour managers, and travel insurance.
