MBBS Abroad For Indians: Cheapest Countries And Total Costs

Securing a seat in a government medical college in India remains highly competitive, given the limited number of spots available. Studying medicine overseas can provide more spots, lower costs, and programs in English.

MBBS in Russia – Costs and Perks

Russian schools provide six-year MBBS programs in English. Tuition ranges from ₹2 lakh to ₹8 lakh each year. Room and board are cheaper compared to India. Students gain from good facilities and strong support from the government. If India’s National Medical Commission does not accept some clinical training, students might need another year.

MBBS Costs in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is now a choice for Indian medical students. Schools there ask for ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh per year. The full six-year MBBS course costs about ₹18 lakh to ₹30 lakh. Students should also think about money for food, housing, health cover, visa renewal, entry fees, and travel. Planning for all costs helps avoid money issues.

MBBS in the Philippines – A Cheap Choice

The Philippines has cheap MBBS programs. Both public and private schools charge tuition starting at about ₹2.1 lakh per year. English is the main language, which makes it easier for Indian students.

Other Countries – Bangladesh and China

In Bangladesh, MBBS courses cost ₹24 lakh to ₹35 lakh for everything, including tuition and living costs. China charges ₹20 lakh to ₹40 lakh for tuition plus ₹4 lakh to ₹8 lakh each year for living. These countries are cheaper for medical studies than private schools in India.
