PM Modi will inaugurate vande Bharat train tomorrow: Big news for the modernisation of Indian Railways as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the special Vande Bharat Express on June 6, 2025! The newly inaugurated train will improve connectivity between the two cities and allow quicker travel in all comfort between cities.
The special Vande Bharat Express will run from Katra to Jammu & Kashmir, which is a huge reduction in time travelling between these two cities.
The major stoppages along the route will be:
-A. Katra – Starting point
-B. Srinagar – Ending point
-C. The train will traverse the Chenab Bridge which is one of the tallest railway arch bridges in the world.
The services will enable seamless connectivity within Jammu and Kashmir and enhance travel options for those who live there and tourists.
The official fare structure has not yet been released, however, passengers will have two seating options:
– Chair Car (CC) – Low cost with comfortable seating.
– Executive Chair Car (EC) – Premium services and lots of leg room.
Business will not open until the launch has occurred, however, tickets are expected to be available for sale on the IRCTC website and at the railway reservations counters.
Modern Features of Vande Bharat Express
We have incorporated very unique features for our Kashmir-bound Vande Bharat Express with respect to the severe weather conditions of the region:
– An enhanced heating system to keep passenger warm keeping the intent of travel, comfort during extremes of Winter.
– Visibility enhancements using defrosting technologies.
– Offering significant and comfortable interiors for smooth travel.
This special train service is a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, providing all-weather rail connectivity to Kashmir. It has gone through extreme challenges with respect to difficult terrain, adverse weather conditions, and civil works delays for the expansion of this rail extension that will enhance intra-regional mobility of the railways as well as the ease of travel for its passengers.
