IRCTC Special Trains For Raksha Bandhan: To match the festive rush during Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day in the year 2025, Indian Railways has announced special trains for the convenience of the passengers. The trains will do their operation during August 14–17 and will travel between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, and Madgaon, Goa, making journeying between these important routes hassle-free.
Train 01125 (LTT to Madgaon)
Departure: August 14, 10:15 PM
Arrival: August 15, 12:45 PM
Route: Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Karmali

Next to comfort, additional cleaning, security, and medical assistance will be provided at major stations. The special train services may also offer bio-toilets, charging facilities, and catering services for passengers’ comfort.

Train 01126 and 01128 bookings are available from August 9, 2025, through PRS counters, the IRCTC website, and the Indian Railways inquiry portal. Since demand is expected to be very high, passengers are advised to book as early as possible.
Chairman of Railway Board Satish Kumar also announced the starting of 238 local trains with airconditioners in Mumbai, two non-airconditioned automatic trains by December 2025.
